Inside an active volcano, the annual Yadnya Kasada festival occurs, along with a fierce battle between two Indonesian communities. An ethnic minority called the Tenggerese climb Mount Bromo to make offerings to the Gods of the volcano, throwing food, livestock and other treasures into its crater.
