I used to have a succulent jungle. I started it from hundreds of cuttings that I would collect in upper crust neighborhood walks when I lived in the bay area. I slowly made garden beds that surrounded the patio of of my warehouse. Everytime we would rotate soil from our indoor garden I would add planters and beds and succulent and cactus babies!! After 5 years of planting and transplanting I had a the most beautiful ramshackle oasis ever. Succulents dripping from the rooftop and planters made out of the funniest things found in the urban wayside. Choosing to leave that place was beyond difficult. But had I not, I never would have created HAWKHOUSE and possibly not found myself in such an amazing place physically and emotionally as I am now. Being unable to find or afford year round housing in the place I want to live has me moving 2-4 times a year and is great for keeping things minimal...and so sad for gardening. I crave planting and rooting and watching things grow and multiply. The other week when I got so low, I went and grabbed this baby to remind me of my blossoming past life. One day I will plant her in the ground, but for now she will travel with me. xo . . . . . #succulents #succulent #succulentlove #succulentgarden #succulentlover #succulentsofinstagram #succulentaddict #succulenthoarder #succulentjunkie #succulentobsession #suckerforsucculents #instasucculent #succulentobsessed #succulentplant #succulentlife #succulentas #succulentcity #succulentarrangement #succulentoftheday #succulentplants #succulentthailand #succulentpropagation #succulentporn #succulentsph #succulente #succulentsonly #babysucculent #succulentart #pottedsucculents #succulentaddiction
