#rawdiamond delivery today!! To be honest, I LOVE faceted sparkly clear diamonds. Consciously though, I have a few major problems with them. 1. The ethics behind mining practices and 2. The way the diamond industry racketeers (think de beers) has completely cornered the market, by buying all the diamond mines essentially controlling the price of diamonds and blowing the prices through the roof. 3. The fact that diamonds as engagement rings has only become a tradition in the last century, also driven by large corporations wanting to make you "need" a diamond for an engagement ring. So wait, whose tradition is that? Some bankrollerz? Screw them and pick your own favorite stone to define your love. Or if you do go with diamonds, make sure they are ethically mined!! Xx
