I’ve felt weird about going to Universal (which is just Harry Potter Butterbeer Land to me) and being a big Harry Potter fan in general ever since JK Rowling revealed herself to being a transphobic, garbage human. 100% here for the “art” and not the “artist”, but since going to Universal does contribute to her wealth, I’m going to make a small donation to a trans organization for each trip I take to Butterbeer Land. (Ty to lysaroma for the idea!) It’s not perfect, but it’s the best way I can find to continue taking part in one of my favorite fandoms. Harry Potter has been special to me for so long, but I would never want anyone to think I agree with Rowling and her bigoted views. Anyywaaaay, it rained this day and was chilly and I drank all the Butterbeer and I loved it. 😌✨
