Modern Day Hero Terry Johnson has been an L.A. Sheriff for 15 years. 7 years ago, she made the choice to be a Child Abuse & Rape Detective. Terry sees and deals with unspeakable crimes against innocent children and people everyday, a career choice that not many could handle or stomach, because she truly believes in justice and being a voice for the voiceless.
She has a strong passion for her job and helping people. In her free time she is a Board Member for The Crime Survivors Resource Center. The organization provides resources, hope and healing to crime survivors and Terry is always at the forefront trying to raise awareness and help the organization grow.
Her sister Kim says “I feel blessed to be related to such a strong woman. She is strong in her faith, strong physically, and strong mentally. Everyday, I wake up hoping to be half the woman she is.”
