Posted by• @travelboatinglifestyle My SUP board doesn't get to take me out on the ocean in north QLD too often, thanks to oversized lizards that chomp through inflatable toys. Humans too. So, I've been longing to visit to Cardwell Spa Pool and float upon its tourmaline waters draped by forest.
Soaking up the serenity and absolute peace, I had the whole place to myself. February is considered the low season in tropical north QLD because its when cyclones are likely to hit the coast, humidity is through the roof and the rains can be tumultous. It's my favourite time of the year! Because it also means the rainforest is fully engaged, (sadly the leeches are too!), everything is glistening green, wildlife are lapping up the abundant food and waterfalls, creeks and streams are at their absolute best! Sssshhh it's a secret :-)
