As I said in one of my first posts on here, I bought one of the very original icebreaker base layers as a young ski bum in Canada when they lost my bags. I lived, slept, worked and rode in this set up everyday, had no washing machine nor dry warm outside air to hang them in, and yet I was warm, comfortable, surprisingly clean and content. Through no commercial alignment, I was sold on icebreaker, and have been since. I still wear the base layer set but given I've worn them for ten years, I got told off by icebreaker creative's that my pictures showed the well worn holes in the knees lol.
What's better, beyond the product functionality itself, is the source and roots of it. Sheep and NZ. Enough said.
