Like most adventures, things didn’t exactly go as planned. We were delayed in getting out on the water by two weeks as we waited on a needed kayak hatch. But again (as has happened many times) we learned that stuff happens for a reason. The delay spurned us to discover new places, set camp all over the NWT, and it’s even what caused the decision for the float plane pick-up.. So truly it was a wonderful thing disguised as an inconvenience— I’m really glad things didn’t go as planned…it’s often the best way.
