What is the biggest alligator you've caught before? And how did you catch it?
We had a friend who worked for the Florida Wildlife Commission as a gator trapper for many years. It was pretty common to come home with 6 or 7 footers and occasionally you'd get something upwards of 11 or 12 feet. To be honest though, the smaller ones were a bit harder to handle because they had so much energy and never gave up. We picked up a 6 footer once because he was in the road and had his head run over by a car. Even after that happened, he still fought the entire time after! They are incredible animals...
