PERFORMANCE || I was asked in an interview with @thewooed what I do to ensure I'm performing at my best through-out the day?
I hadn't really thought about my days or life as performance focussed - but I guess they really are.
Here are my answers, candid they sure are:
Coffee (sad but true) - 2 a day makes for a great day. Sleep (8 hours minimum).
A quiet space.
Lots of greens and protein (protein in the day has been a game changer for my energy levels - I used to feel like eating my elbow come 4pm; now not so much).
Support from my husband.
Support from @helenpadarin. Support from @flowtherapybyron
Trying not to get involved in other peoples dramas and conversations.
Staying in my own lane.
A big sheet of paper where I obsessively write the list of tasks and tick them off daily and then start again the next day. Boring, but effective for a compulsive list crosser-off-er like me.
Surrendering to the fact that I won’t get it “all done” in a day and that some days are better than others and being ok with that.
Knowing I will let people down and being ok with that. I don’t turn on emails until after I’ve done the important work. Some days this means never. I’m ok with that.
Take a breather.
Smelling peppermint oil.
Green tea and dark chocolate (lots of it; big chunks of it) in the afternoon.
And if all that turns to shit then I lie down on my rug and take a few moments..... And remember you - yes you - you, who is foremost in my mind when I create every product. thank you for being in our community 😘🙏
