the semicolon in punctuation is used when a sentence could have ended but didn't. when used as a tattoo, it represents when a person could have ended their life but chose not to. It is an empowering symbol of a person's ability to write their own story and overcome struggles.
i’ve battled with mental health issues since 7th grade. this semicolon reminds me of all the struggles i’ve been through and i could of chose to end it but i decided to keep fighting and keep going now matter how hard it got.
even tho this tattoo is not permanent and is only temporary one. it is so extremely powerful to me. only a couple more years until i have have it permanently on my wrist.
