AD inkbox This years Women’s history month theme is: A better future for women. With this in mind I want to share with you a poem I wrote for my creative writing a-level, I hope there may be a couple of lines within it that resonate with you ❤️ ✨ Liking myself is a defiance against society. I forgot that popularity was defined by anxiety. It doesn’t make me selfish or make me egotistical. It just makes me clever, smart and logistical. Become an individual, not part of a satanic ritual. It will become habitual following like sheep, In one great big herd. This is absurd! Be free like a bird. We need diversity, or we’ll be stuck in adversity. Don’t be disquieting. Stop dieting, Start rioting. Against the patriarchy, break the hierarchy. Isn’t is hysterical, how the world has just become ‘bearable’? We all need connecting, as we’ve been rejecting, neglecting, not perfecting, all this self-respecting. Pause. We all have flaws. What is the cause? Our brains over think. Whirling through wrong ideas, because of what? Our peers. No need for detest, Just undress the idea to impress. Been caught up in the crowds, head’s in the clouds. Attention so tight, wrapped in shrouds. We need variety. Leave the restraining society. _____________________ Also if you got this far you can use code BBECKIE10 for 10% off inkbox 🙌🏼✨
