getting “gender-affirming procedures” are NOT strictly focused on major surgeries and/or acquiring hormones that most people believe is the end goal for trans, gnc, & nb folx. A tweet by drdevonprice perfectly verbalizes everything that I had difficulty bringing into words. I don’t feel the need to “transition” as getting tattoos, for example, make me feel more in touch with my gender than anything else (other than clothes). “Cis people can experience dysphoria, and can experience gender euphoria from getting affirming procedures”. You don’t need to identify within the trans umbrella to understand this feeling of euphoria. we are all trying to find ourselves and our way of expressing that; the experience is different but the feelings are mutual.
