Today is International Volunteer Day. Integria give thanks and support to all volunteers that are making a difference in people’s lives.
Meet one of our dedicated team members, Chris Andrews, who plays an integral role in procuring our raw materials at Integria.
Chris and his partner Nicole share their lives with two little whippets, Basil and Betty, and spend their free time volunteering with Delta Therapy Dogs, a non-profit organisation that helps animals bring joy to people in hospitals, aged-care facilities, palliative care, disability services and any organisation who can see the merit in having ‘dog therapy’ to help support the mental health of their patients.
Chris and Nicole’s passion for helping others originated when they saw the joy their dogs would bring when visiting their elderly parents in an aged-care facility. With both their enthusiasm to give back to the community and their love for dogs, volunteering for Delta Therapy Dogs became an obvious choice.
