In 2017, we removed polystyrene from our supply chain and replaced it with Woolpack.
Made from sheep’s wool and covered in a polyethylene wrap, Woolpack insulates your cold goods during transportation and outperforms conventional insulated packaging on every level.
Introducing Woolpack has removed the following from our supply chain every year:
• 1.72 tonnes of polystyrene
• 6.48 tonnes of cardboard (which was used to protect the Esky’s in transport)
• And reduced an estimated 2.79 million cubic meters of freight volume annually
The wool from your Woolpack is home compostable and biodegradable, suitable to place in your home green garden bin or to bury in your backyard, releasing valuable nutrients back into the soil. Alternatively, you can find used for it around the home, such as:
• Weed matting
• Rose protectors
• Pipe lagging
• Pet bedding
• Carpet underlay
• Mulch/worm farming
• Hanging baskets
• Veggie patches
• Grow micro greens (salad)
• Arts and crafts
• Beehive insulation
• Van panelling
Film marked with the number 2 or 4 recycling symbol can be deposited through any commercial soft plastics recycling program. Film marked as compostable, you can bury in your backyard, add to your compost bin or deposit it into to any commercial composting system.
