With over 350 delegates in attendance, Vanessa presented on ‘Standardising Patient Data Collection for a Publishable Case Series’, one of a series of presentations from leading industry professionals in the field of naturopathic and herbal medicine.
Congratulations Vanessa Vigar on an enlightening talk on the importance of practitioners, their data collection and the role it can play in medical research.
The presentation highlighted the importance of practitioners and their role in objective data collection. This looks at the treatment of data from patients - for the care of that patient as well as data that can be used to objectively evaluate treatment outcomes. This is also used to compare those outcomes across multiple patients that have been treated for the same condition. By using objective and consistent measurements of patient outcomes, the practitioner can then collate this data from multiple patients to present as a case series.
