I've always admired furniture with soul. The way it's crafted - the designer's touch, the hands that built it - each piece tells a story.
We all seek to create new memories while cherishing the old, even within our homes. Our dwelling is a tapestry woven with moments tied to cherished objects, like that old armchair where Pop would rest during his visits. The dining table, a silent witness to countless celebrations - and not forgetting mums cooking. A side table, home to water rings, a special lamp, and Nana's tin box of lollies, a sweet indulgence.
A desk, where the relentless grind of days and nights gave birth to both brilliant and not-so-great ideas. It's a journey, you see.
I aim to embrace this concept more passionately, to appreciate the sentimentality of the spaces we inhabit. A home should have a soul, and I've always had an affection for the soulful homes I've encountered.
