Shoshin in Japanese refers to a beginner's mind — a state of openness and wonder that allows a person to approach life unfettered by the preconceptions, biases or habits associated with knowledge and experience. It's where the often heard Zen quote comes from "In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities, but in the expert's there are few". We try to encompass a similar mindset when designing and creating our backpacks. So many times we've asked ourselves what is the reason we're doing this for, and why do people need it. Constantly questioning the way things are currently done has allowed us freedom in figuring out new solutions, better solutions. But like all things, it's a continual learning process and we're here for the ride. Photo By @studiokyss.
