Dear Jo, today is your 1st birthday baby girl. I have no idea where time has gone, but a year has come and gone in the blink of an eye. It feels like yesterday I found out we were having a little girl. I was so shocked and so scared in that moment.
Would I be able to raise you to be strong and resilient? Would I be able to show you what to value in life and what is most important? Could I teach you to speak your mind, stand up for what's right, all while showing kindness and giving grace? Can I give you the path to own your thoughts & not be scared to take risks?
All of these questions and more, I ask myself every day when I look at you & every day you prove to me how much of your own person you are. You have your father's stoic nature, but your mother's knack for pushing boundaries. You have your mother's caring nature, but your dad's personality for not showing fear. You my dear, are a force to be reckoned with. You're fierce and loving and silly and determined.
I never thought I would have a daughter, but I am thankful every day God knew exactly what I needed, and that was you, my little beauty. You are O-N-E today! 🎁🎂😭😍 Happy birthday baby girl!
