What brings you joy? ✨ This question was thrown at me this week & it’s really had me thinking. This year, we’ve all be surrounded by so much sadness, angst, and uncertainty. As we look towards 2021, I want to get back to what makes us feel so much joy every day in this life.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ For several years, I chose to run my business from a place of fear of failing over a place of just simply doing what I love. The more I let the fear set in, the more I fell out of love with my business.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I was too concerned with buying the cheapest products that I thought would sell the fastest without regard to style or quality for the longest time. A couple years ago, I made a decision to change that and buy only what I loved & knew would bring joy to my customers lives! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I only bought what made my inner fashion geek jump for joy. I only bought what made me smile. I only bought what made go "ohhhhhhh" when I saw it 😂 I paid attention to quality over quantity. I made a promise to deliver to my customers in every way I could. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When I sit and think about what truly brings me joy, it’s you guys. It’s finding fashion we can all fall in love with together. It’s connecting with you in-person or on social media. It’s doing live videos and showing you exactly why I picked a style. It’s giving my team creative freedom to merchandise it in ways that makes me fall in love with a piece all over again. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It’s also taking more time for me and my family. It’s finally making it back to the gym to work out and feel not only physically stronger, but emotionally too. It’s taking 2 hour lunches with friends who live out of town and not feeling guilty about it. It’s more date nights with my husband & finally taking those trips we’ve always said we’d take.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Raising a glass of red to this promise to myself & you guys! Cheers to more JOY in 2021 ❤️
