I’ve always promised to be transparent with all of you & today I'm continuing with that promise. The past several months have been full of ups and downs in regards to the Jasper development, and to be completely honest, this deal has been difficult since the beginning. There were several things along the way that had me questioning “is this the right space, the right time, the right fit?” but I kept pushing through for our customers.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

We’ve been working on negotiating with the River Centre and after several discussions over the past few months, we have not been able to come to a mutually beneficial agreement. My gut told me it was time to walk away, and if there was one thing I’ve learned through everything the past 8 years, it was to trust my gut — so last week, I made the difficult decision to not move forward with our space at the River Centre.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Almost 8 years ago when I started this business, all of my goals and definition of success revolved around my business and career. Today though, my definition of success is very different. It's about balance & being able to do what I love through JOELLE + CO & soaking up time with my family. It’s being able to say yes to date night’s with my husband more often, to doing things I love, to have time away without worrying if my business will run without me. It’s learning to say no to things that don't bring me joy, add unnecessary stress, and don't fit within my life goals. I’ve experienced a lot of changes and loss this past year, and I vowed to myself to enjoy every precious moment and experience in my life so I don’t look back and have any regrets. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
