2018 was full of changes for JOELLE + CO. From a name change to announcing our move to Downtown Newburgh, my goal was, & will always be, to be transparent and open to our customers about any changes.⠀

Today, a few months into 2019, I find myself making not one, but two, very big & exciting announcements for JOELLE + CO. It is with both bittersweet & excited emotions that I’m announcing we will be moving our Huntingburg store to Jasper in Spring 2020 into the new River Centre development. It’s also with sadness that we announce our last day operating our Huntingburg store will be May 30th, 2019 until we reopen in Jasper in early 2020.⠀

A year and a half ago, I was approached about doing something in the River Centre. I never had any intention of moving the Huntingburg store at that time. Huntingburg is my home, it’s where I grew up and it’s where my company was born. It has been and always will be, home.⠀

Since that initial meeting, I’ve listened to Jane explain her vision for the River Centre & the passion she has to make this a unique destination. From concerts to farmers markets, a flourishing retail marketplace to a rooftop open to the public, this is going to be a destination for everyone right off the riverwalk.⠀

My gut was telling me this was the right move to take for my company. My heart though wasn’t sure if it was ready to move. “What would everyone think? Would my customers support me?” I had a million questions and what-ifs come to mind.⠀

I had to trust my gut with our move to Downtown Newburgh, and it was the best decision I ever made. Our traffic has nearly tripled & my business is doing things I could only have dreamt of. I find myself in the same position now. Regardless of all the “what ifs”, I need to trust my gut, take those risks, and make the hard decisions for JOELLE + CO.⠀

So today, I’m here to say this isn’t goodbye, this is “see you soon.” We will continue to operate in Huntingburg until May 30, 2019. After that, we will be moving all of our operations to Newburgh. It has been my dream to have our operations under one roof, and it’s finally happening. This change allows me to have a better work life balance,
