I sat on the park bench dreading that phone call. The one coming that would tell me my worst fear, I’m miscarrying another baby. After our 1st miscarriage a few months ago, I went into full research mode. Only 2% of people miscarry back to back. Only 1% of people miscarry 3 times in a row. So, when I found out two weeks ago that we were blessed with another baby, I was confident everything was going to be okay.⠀
⠀
Last Thursday, I found out I was wrong. I don’t know why this is happening & it's so painful. Why am I the 2%? Why was my pregnancy with Emmett so perfect & easy, but now I can't carry a baby? What I do know is that this has helped me see life in a different light. ⠀
⠀
You know the old saying : Before you judge a person, walk a mile in their shoes. As I was sitting on that park bench, checking my phone every 30 seconds, watching my husband play with my son, I thought about the people who were walking by. Did they think I was being a lazy mom? Did they think I was being a bad mom by not playing with my kid? I made the decision at that point to never judge someone ever again.⠀
⠀
I share what I’m going through today because I think it’s important to share my life as much as possible with you guys. That behind these pretty clothes and dream I’m living, I’m going through a lot personally. ⠀
If you can do me a favor today : give your friend a long hug, buy that person behind you a coffee, go support your friend in her business. Do something small because you never know what someone is going through. ⠀
⠀
I know I will be okay. I'm so blessed to have Emmett, who is so beautiful and healthy. I know I will heal through this and day by day, it will get a little better. I’m so blessed to have a family, friends, and a community like you guys that I get to share my life with and in turn, get support. If you have been through this or have questions on what my experience has been like, please reach out to me. My goal is to always be authentic, real, and honest with you guys. Love you all so much ❤
