I don't wish Alzheimer's on any one person or family. At my cousins wedding today I sat with my grandpa while everyone went outside. He didn't remember me but said I looked familiar. I introduced myself as his granddaughter. He looked at me, grabbed my hand, and told me how beautiful I was. He bowed his head down and when he lifted it back up he had tears in his eyes. He knew he should know me but doesn't. Even though these moments are hard they are ones I will forever cherish and hold dear to my heart.
