This was taken almost a year ago. It’s not glamorous or well styled. In typical fashion, our house was a wreck, my hair is greasy, and I have some of my oldest sweats on. Also, I was 100% in my element, and happy and peaceful in this moment.
Being a mom is one of the hardest jobs I’ve ever known. It’s so fulfilling and demanding at the same time. After losing two babies after Emmett, it doesn’t get passed me how immensely lucky I am to have two healthy & happy babes today ❤️
I know how hard and painful Mother’s Day can be. I’m thinking of those who are moms, who get along with their moms, who don’t know their moms, who desire to be moms, who have difficult relationships with their moms, and who’ve lost their moms. I see you. I know your struggle and heartache. I love you. I’m here for you.
I also want you to know you are already a mother. You may be a mother to babies in heaven. A mother to your friends children, or your nieces and nephews or the the students you teach in your classroom. A mom to your amazing step kids. You are a mother - and today I wish you a most heartfelt and loving Happy Mother’s Day ❤️❤️
