I was sitting in high school when everything stopped.  We turned on the TV and watched the surreal attacks unfold.  Part of me knew the magnitude at what was going on, but I was 15 years old & I don't think I was fully able to emotionally grasp what was happening.  I now sit here today at 35 years old, 20 years later -- full of emotion, fully able to emotionally grasp these horrific events, and I'm trying to find the right words.    Today is about honor.  Honor for the thousands of men, women, and children who lost their lives on 9/11/2001.  Honor the all of those who unselfishly sacrificed their lives in service of our country.  We will never forget, and we will always remember. New York holds a special place in my heart.  It's where I found myself.  It's where I lost love, found passion, and grew up.  I lived there while they were building One World Trade Center, and I walked by it any chance I could get.  It always made me stop.  Through all the hustle and bustle happening around me, it created this sort of stillness.  It's almost as if in that moment, everything just pauses. So today, we pause.  We stop to honor, remember, and reflect.  We're reminded tomorrow is not guaranteed.  We pray for all the families and friends of those who lost their lives.  We're reminded to love hard and show grace, not just today, but everyday. May we never forget 🇺🇸
