Let me tell you about this beautiful human 😍 Yesterday was such an amazing day because I finally got to hug someone who is so important to me, not just as our inventory planner, but also a friend!
I signed up for our inventory planning company almost 4 years ago & after I signed up, I received a call from @marymmqc. Turns out, one of my original stores was DIRECTLY across from her family's store in our downtown area. She knew my home because she was from my home 🥰
A week later, Nathan left for a work trip out to Virginia. Mary is from Virginia & was having a meeting with some colleagues and very randomly, Nathan and his team ended up being at the exact same place 🤯
Nathan's co-worker was decked out in IU gear & Mary being a Purdue fan herself, had to start giving him a hard time 🤣 Eventually Nathan told her where we were from, she made the connection, & Nathan couldn't believe who he was talking to! When that selfie came through of both of them together, I almost fell out of my seat 🤭
Mary was truly one of the biggest blessings in my business. I joke that she should have "Full Time Therapist" on her business card & she needs to start charging me by the hour 😆 We talk almost weekly (if not several times a week) & I credit her tremendous help in growing our business over the last 4 years.
It's been over 2 years since we've seen each other & yesterday was such a special day! It's hard to find colleagues or friends who truly understand what it's like to own a business, growing it, and all the ups and downs that come with it. Mary is one of those who just gets it & is always there for me -- no matter if I don't agree with it or don't want to hear it -- she holds me accountable & I'm so thankful to her for that!
