I touch the weight so the mould disappears and eats away its life. The weight will never rust, conflict, judge, or misunderstand. It doesn’t rely on anything and conveniently submerges in isolated silence. Good company. The silence fills me until it’s only the resistance and I. We immerse ourselves in the ritual of reinvention. It’s times like these that I feel like mutilating myself to better understand and prepare for the warfare I’m about to put myself through.
