Who are you?
My name is Carolina, I’m from Cerrillos and I’m currently working on the glass assembly process of the Karün Company. During my free time I enjoy working with kids who are at social risk. On weekends, with a group of friends from my church, we try to create projects that try to provide the necessary tools for these kids in order for them to improve their lives so they are no longer trapped in the difficult context in which they live. I also enjoy practicing a variety of sports such as trekking and running. I try to exercise whenever I have the time and space.
About my working place, Karün,
I love the concept behind this company; it is very close to my ideology about life: to be friendly towards the environment. Since this company tries to be as sustainable and responsible as they can, it fits perfectly with my way of living and this is something very important when it comes to choosing where to work.
About your work:
I’m very happy with the outcomes of my work. When I started working here one year ago my knowledge was pretty basic, the only thing that I knew how to do was “putting things together”, which is something we all learn when we are kids when we played with glue. However, as time passed by and with the help of my friends, I became better and better and learned what it takes to assemble glasses. Now I find myself to be very good at what I do.
Something interesting:
My house is very noisy; there is always someone there to make the house feel lively and it is always full of children running one way or another.
