The colourful Great Barrier Reef starts right here, where rainforest meets sea. The Daintree National Park, Daintree River and the Coral Sea form a thriving ecosystem for birds, fishes and reptiles to flourish into the underwater diversity we see today. We're fortunate to catch glimpses of its beauty despite its worst deterioration in recent years due to global warming. But hopefully the bleaching situation only gets better from here.
