HAPPY EARTH DAY
Our beautiful oceans which absorb the majority of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere are turning very acidic (30% increase in acidity) as a result of the unprecedented carbon humans are emitting, namely from burning coal to generate power.
The unforeseen change we have seen in our behaviour and from governments in response to COVID is the exact kind of speed and scale of response we need for climate change and nature loss, to secure an earth capable of nurturing life in all its magnificent diversity.
Earth Day 2020 will be far more than a day. It must be a historic moment when citizens of the world rise up in a united call for the creativity, innovation, ambition, and bravery that we need to meet our climate crisis and seize the enormous opportunities of a zero-carbon future.
