Happy World Environment Day!
2020 theme is Biodiversity and the science is unanimous, whatever we do in the next 10 to 50 years will define the future of humanity and all living species. Species are currently disappearing at more than 100 times the natural rate*, there is strong evidence suggesting that the world’s undergoing a sixth mass extinction due to habitat destruction and climate change. The scientists describe the extinction crisis as an existential threat to civilisation along with climate change and increasing pollution*. The food we eat, the air we breathe, the water we drink and the climate that makes our planet habitable all come from NATURE. The fashion industry is a huge polluter and it is KITX’s job to source consciously to minimise the chemical and carbon output from our operations. We can all make a difference even by starting to observe nature’s contribution and the impact our decisions have on our natural resources. One planet, One chance.
