“Still reeling from this day. There was a lot of mixed emotions. I was excited yet extremely uncomfortable and intimidated at the same time. I wasn’t sure if this helped my journey to self-love or hinder it. I scalded at every flaw, every roll and all the cellulite. For someone who is an advocate of self-love, I couldn’t believe how much I didn’t like my body this day. But then I remembered to choose LOVE over fear and that perhaps my truth will inspire someone with their journey to self-love. I remembered that I am more than just my body. I remembered that most women feel the same way as me at some point in their lives and that we all equally judge ourselves the hardest.
Reflecting and processing this experience, I recognize someone stepping out of her comfort zone and accepting her flaws, goals and imperfections because they are PERFECT and REAL.
