I will keep repeating this: when we see people like us doing hard things we feel like we can do the hard thing. If you can’t find a role model BE the role model. I once had someone ask me who was going to take care of my baby after he was born... as if I couldn’t possibly do it myself.
Jokes on them - I took care of my baby AND my toddler.
It’s taken a long time to get to this point of confidence but damn it feels so good. Humans are beautiful in all shapes and sizes.
