I felt like my body had cheated me of you
I felt so much guilt for losing you
For 5 years I was ashamed to acknowledge you
For 5 years I never knew how to accept and forgive
And then by a beautiful miracle, Mikey came along

And now I see, I see you in my warrior stripes
Stripes I now touch with profound feelings knowing my body never failed me
They're here to remind me everyday of how strong and brave my journey has been with creating 2 (3) little humans
Today I wear them (YOU) as my badge of honor!
