Believing that I was beautiful. That this pregnancy is beautiful.
And I know the next stage will be the hardest yet.
I know I won't recognize my body. I know it will hardly be mine at all. I know I'll dislike feeling weak, soft and sore.
But I also know this: I know I can keep a promise to myself. I've done it before and I'll do it again.
And my promise is this:
I will NOT speak unkindly to myself.
I will NOT wish any part of me away.
I WILL show myself gratitude, compassion and pride.
I WILL give myself time, grace, and acceptance."
