“Work on being in love with the person in the mirror who has been through so much but is still standing.” #wisewordsWednesday
I’ve done a lot of work on that person in the mirror, not the physical kind but the emotional kind. The girl behind me looks nothing like the woman I am today.
The women I’ve become doesn’t even recognize the girl of my past.
This #woman is comfortable in her own skin, has learned to say no, to let go of toxic people, to unapologetically be herself, to love those around her wholeheartedly, to build a little brand into something, to face the hard stuff and know it won't break her. She's worked damn hard to be this reflection she sees now.
I encourage you to take a good long look at yourself, not the flaws, not the superficial stuff, but the significant changes to both your #mindset and your body that you’ve worked hard on. Be proud of your progress and how far you've come, mama.
Remember, it takes time to overcome the hard things, to let go and move on, but that girl of your past will thank this badass woman version of you, I promise.
