"Three days ago this body ran a Half Marathon. Five years ago, this body fell 20ft onto concrete steps. Five years ago this body survived that fall with no internal bleeding, no hard core brain damage, and no spinal injuries. Five years ago I decided that whatever this body needed to feel good- I would give it. Whatever this body needed to feel loved- I would provide it. ANY thought or self talk that encouraged putting myself down I didn't have time for. Any negative thought about weight I was gaining, or how different my body was physically, was asked to leave quickly. I don't remember much from my first year of recovery, but I remember that. I remember looking down at my legs; one strong and capable, the other withered away and thinking, 'one day, I will build my strength back up so that I can walk comfortably' And now? This body, those legs ran 21.1km I don't consider myself a runner, I don't even know if I really like running. But I LOVE knowing the it is just the power of me, my thoughts, and my bod getting to the finish line. Because yes, I am celebrating. But also in the hopes that whatever that *thing* is you think you might never be able to do- you absolutely can. It doesn't matter how far away it feels, if you put your mind (and heart) to it, you can do ANYTHING.” Forever inspired by your strength @domchesh! She’s wearing our Every Bodysuit in Black🖤 #knix
