“My biggest struggle is dealing with the pressure that society, my parents, and I put on myself. I am my own worst critic. In the middle of the Knix Spin In Your Skin ride, there was this moment where I caught my eyes in the mirror and I couldn’t help myself from crying. I knew going into the event that I would probably have an emotional reaction, but honestly, I kind of shrugged it off telling myself, you’re too strong to cry over this, which is absolutely horrible, and I want to acknowledge that it is okay to cry, to honor and celebrate the journey. One of the words I chose to write I on my body was ‘not enough,’ because that is honestly how I feel sometimes. I feel like I could work out harder, eat better, do this or that more, etc, etc. And in a world where so much negativity exists, the last person who should be negative to you is you. It’s gonna get easier when I remind myself to be kinder to myself.” - @withshayda 🖤🖤🖤 from our Spin In Your Skin event in Austin, TX at @lovecyclingstudio
