Today, we celebrate Juneteenth, a symbolic date representing the end of slavery in the United States.
Revolution is not an event, but a continuous process. In solidarity with dismantling the endless systematic oppression and disparity Black Americans continue to unjustly experience to this day, it’s essential to continue to stand up against anti-blackness. Today we share our profound gratitude towards the Black revolutionaries who worked so hard to abolish slavery in the United States to free themselves and each other.
Celebrate, liberate and educate.
Because in 2021, we can all still continue to do more and do better.
Juneteenth is a day where we can all take the time to furtherly educate ourselves on why #BlackLivesMatter is more significant than ever while celebrating Black culture, joy and history.
Whether it’s supporting a local Black-owned business, enjoying Black music, films and art or sharing educational resources on our platforms — there’s a million ways we can amplify our voices in solidarity of the resiliency and strength of the Black community as we revere in their triumphs and strength on this day of recognition, restoration and celebration.
