Slicker Than Your Average Gloss 🌊
It took us about a year to fully develop this formula. The first step was to forget everything we knew about traditional lip gloss formulation, because we all know how that story ends. In a sticky, drying mess. Almost every lip gloss in the world is made with a base of polyisobutene, a hydrocarbon which does nothing but provide goopiness.
Even treatment lip glosses were still mostly polyisobutene-based with a drop of jojoba oil. But that wouldn’t work for us, because we don’t use filler ingredients, and we need even the base of the formula to be good for you.
So we started searching for ways to deliver color in a way that’s good for your lips, which we do using vegetable glycerides. Not only are they clean, they also provide the building blocks for healthy lips.
We didn’t stop there, on top of the base we also added:
