For a lash artist there’s something oddly satisfying about watching lash extensions being removed 🤣
Side note - This video also shows why we don’t recommend offering 4 week refills for most clients, or refilling over other salons work 🙅
From our experience you’ll find at the 4 weeks the majority of your clients will typically not have enough extensions remaining to be considered a “refill”, not to mention a large % of the remaining extensions will be far too grown out and will likely need to be removed and replaced with a fresh extensions anyway 🤷
Either way you’re better off encouraging your clients to return sooner (2-3 weeks) for a shorter refill appointment i.e. 45 mins vs stretching it out to that 4+ week 1 hour appointment and having to stress like crazy because you’re trying to achieve the impossible by doing a “refill” that in reality is a new full set… in half the time it normally takes you 😫
Funnily enough, the cost for more frequent shorter refills normally works out to be the same as less frequent longer refills… but your clients lashes will look better (neater/fuller) for longer and will be much easier to maintain day to day 🥳
So, be smart. Charge your refills by your TIME spent, never by how many weeks since their last refill.
This makes it fair for everyone as it not only encourages/rewards clients who take good care of their extensions (I.e. clean them daily, not pick them all off in the car on their way to see you, etc 🤣) who can now book shorter refill appointments. Plus, you’ll be happier because you’re not having to perform a lash miracle every time you see them! ✨
