HELLO 🤗
I don't usually share much about myself, but I wanted to give you all more of an insight into who I am and another part of what I do.
As I have recently shared my family and I have just moved back to Arnhem Land. I am a Yolngu woman and decided it was time to move back home to be closer to family and give my children the chance to learn their culture and language.
Some of you might remember I shared some pictures and videos from our holiday home earlier this year. Unfortunately, the reason for that trip was to attend my fathers funeral. It was during this visit home that my family and I decided it was time to make the move back to the Northern Territory.
I have had the opportunity to obtain 2 university degrees and travel the world. I have had a number of other great opportunities and experiences too and I decided it was time I invested in my community and people and shared my knowledge. This is something my late-father had been pushing me to do for many years.
So, while I am still running Liandra Swim at full capacity I have also accepted a job at our local school. I am lucky enough to teach a few different classes, with one of them being Design and Enterprise. This means I now get to show the next generation of Yolngu leaders how to start, operate and grow a business. I can't wait to show more of this down the track with you! It is another layer of who I am and what I care deeply about.
Liandra 💙
