Say hello to Joyce Chen, a legendary chef 👩🍳 , restaurateur, and entrepreneur who is credited for popularizing Chinese cuisine in the USA. Joyce moved from Beijing in the 1950s and started a cooking class out of her home in Cambridge, Massachusetts – which was also LightWater’s home! She went on to open a restaurant and invented cooking techniques and tools like the electric wok. We thank her for her commitment in sharing the foods and flavors of her heritage.
