We recently helped Max find the perfect engagement ring and his proposal story is too sweet not to share! Art Deco Diamond Triangle ring (in the middle) is the one he proposed with! BRB, we’re crying😭😭 “The short and sweet of it is that 2019 had been a rough year for both of our families, for a multitude of different reasons. I proposed on Saturday (11/9/19) in Bethany's photo studio. Her parents were in town to visit and celebrate my dad's 70th birthday. We were at Bethany's photography studio because her heat had gone out and her dad was trying to figure out if he could fix it. While in the midst of that, Bethany's parents received more bad news about some stuff going on back in Ohio, where they're from. I had decided to propose at her studio but in that moment, everyone was so frustrated and I didn't know if I should do it, it seemed kind of like the timing was off. But I decided to just go for it. I was a mess and fumbled a bunch, Bethany couldn't believe it was happening, she just kept saying "what". I ended up just laughing non stop because I was so nervous. Bethany's dad had to point out that she still needed to give an answer and she finally said "yes". She also said, "I can't believe you got my favorite one!" in regards to ring, like, a million times After that the mood kind of completely changed. Everyone was just so excited and happy and the other issues, which ended up all getting fixed, seemed to fade away (like so many annoying things seem to do). That night we all met up with my parents and brother for dinner and then went to the Chicago Magic Lounge. We celebrated Bethany and I's engagement and my dad's upcoming birthday. And, I don't really know, it was just kind of perfect. Everything felt like it happened exactly like it was meant to. It was a little funny and awkward and intimate and I think it's a pretty solid representation of the life Bethany and I have started building for ourselves.”
