If at first you don’t succeed, fix your ponytail and try again 💪
In a dental continuing ed course I took this weekend - taught by a master of implant surgery - the instructor said to us, “Good judgment comes from experience, and experience comes from poor judgment.” This statement really resonated with me- especially coming from someone so experienced and knowledgeable. What a way to look at the cycle of trying your best, and then learning from your mistakes when you don’t get optimal results despite your best efforts. I truly think this applies in so many areas, not just in dentistry. With anything that requires a skill and practice, making mistakes and getting criticism is what makes you better. Rather than beating yourself up, giving up, or getting upset at your critics, take what you can learn from it and keep trying. Becoming great at something takes hard work AND perseverance. So fix that ponytail, and get back at it 🙌✨
