This is what Beyoncé calls her alter ego anytime she steps onstage in front of all her fans. Sasha Fierce is bold and confident and helps her hold her head high and proud when she performs.
I’m not sure where I first heard this but it’s something I used to say to my youngest sister anytime she was worried or nervous for something like her first day of school, meeting new friends, or anything that made her feel uncomfortable.
I’d give her the biggest hug right before she left and look her in the eye and say ‘Cara, just remember. Sasha Fierce. You can do this’
And her beautiful little face would light up and she’d nod and say ‘Sasha fierce. I love you Mikki’
Sometimes I think of this when I’m in my own uncomfortable situation. I guess it’s sort of like this double life because when you think Sasha Fierce you can almost remove your actual self from the situation and replace it with the other more confident version of yourself. You. step back in the situation with this different attitude and it doesn’t feel as scary.
I think a lot of people think I’m always outgoing and super confident person but I really do get shy and introverted too. A whooooole heap of personal growth and having amazing confident friends helped me.
I hope you can embrace this little saying if you ever need a little Sasha Fierce in your life and use it to crush any situation you’re a bit eeeeep with!
