Linen is known for being a summer staple due to its lightweight nature and breathable qualities. It allows air to move around freely, regulating temperature effortlessly.
The fibres in linen are highly absorbent which means that it can take in up to 20% of its dry weight in moisture without feeling damp. It is also hypoallergenic making it perfect for those with allergies or sensitive skin.
Linen is very durable and has a reputation for being the world’s strongest natural fibre. This means that it will stay beautiful and crisp for seasons to come and won’t loose its shape after washing. Although linen can be quite stiff when your first buy it, it gets softer & softer with each wear & wash.
Always check the care instructions on your garment. For your Marlow linen, we recommend hand washing in cold water or on a cold, gentle machine cycle with mild/eco friendly detergent to protect the fibres.
The best way to dry linen is to let it air dry. So when that summer sun is shining, hang them out on the line 🌞
