Sometimes I feel as though I lost myself in you...as though I gave away pieces of myself that I couldn’t afford to lose…
But even with that said, I still don’t regret a single moment spent with you because despite the fact that it ended, meeting you is still that pivotal moment in my life where everything changed forever.
I may have loved and I may have lost – but for the first time in my life I can say that I truly lived.
So if anyone should ever ask me if I have felt that all-encompassing love they write about in poetry… that love that makes the universe stop spinning and redefines everything you’d ever felt for another human being up until that point… I will smile and tell them…
