Katie on her experience as a caregiver:
"It is REALLY, REALLY hard. Some days are better than others. Some days are really fun – those are the days when you can find humour in the disease, when you can laugh together like you used to and other days you can’t decide whether you want to be angry at the universe for putting you in this situation, or just cry because you don’t know how you’re going to keep going. And I’ve found that it is OK to feel both of those things so intensely sometimes and at other times feel completely numb."
